Limo Driver Arrested after Man Killed in Brooklyn Pedestrian Accident

People hire limousine services for many reasons, but mostly they’re hired because the passengers do not want to have to drive.  People who do hire limousine services will generally assume that the drivers of these vehicles will handle their jobs appropriately and that they will be sober.  Early reports indicate that police may believe that neither factor was present last night when a man was killed in a Brooklyn pedestrian accident that led to the arrest of the limo driver.

According to the authorities, this Brooklyn pedestrian accident occurred last night at approximately 6:50 p.m.  An unidentified man and two relatives were being led away from the limo they had just used at the intersection of Kings Highway and Bedford Avenue in Midwood when the limo driver mistakenly placed the vehicle in reverse.  He backed into the man and crushed him against another vehicle.  The man was killed and the driver was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and DUI.
