One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Brooklyn Hit-and-Run Accident

According to the authorities, this Brooklyn hit-and-run accident occurred this morning at approximately 5 a.m.  An unidentified 35-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were attempting to cross the street on Borinquen Place near Keap Street in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn.  As they did so, they were hit by the driver of a Chevrolet sedan.  The man was thrown into the other lane of traffic and was hit again.  He died at the scene.  The woman was severely injured and rushed to the hospital.  The vehicle was recovered but the driver has not yet been located.
