16 People in Funeral Procession Injured in Queens Car Accident

When people are taking part in a funeral procession that’s meant to be part of the good-bye to someone they all loved, their minds are generally anywhere but on other motorists and the overall traffic conditions.  It’s all but certain that no one in this position would ever expect to be involved in a New York car accident.  Unfortunately, that is what occurred over the weekend when 16 people who were involved in a motorized funeral procession were injured in a multi-vehicle Queens car accident.  Police continue to investigate the situation.

According to the authorities, this Queens car accident occurred on Saturday morning at approximately 11:30 a.m.  A limousine was carrying loved ones from a funeral service to a burial site on Long Island when it was cut off by the driver of a minivan near 144-12 Guy R. Brewer Boulevard.  The driver of the limousine swerved to avoid a collision with the minivan and wound up crashing into a bodega at that address.  16 people were injured in the crash in varying degrees of severity.
