Woman Hit by MTA Bus and Killed in Manhattan Pedestrian Accident

According to the authorities, this Manhattan pedestrian accident occurred last night at approximately 8:25 p.m.  An unidentified 33-year-old woman was attempting to cross the street at West 59th Street and 7th Avenue when she was hit by an MTA bus that was attempting to make a turn at that intersection.  The woman was caught under one of the tires of the bus but was freed and was rushed to a nearby hospital.  She was pronounced dead there, and police have stated that while the investigation continues, they do not suspect criminality.
